Advanced Quizzes Release Extended to January 31

At LifterLMS we’ve come to the conclusion that we need an additional month to finalize the development and undergo testing of the initial release of LifterLMS Advanced Quizzes  version 1.0.
Our original release date was planned for December 28. Now at this current stage in development when we can clearly see what’s left to do, we can commit confidently to hitting a target of Wednesday January 31 for deployment.
Also as a side effect, this timeline adjustment moves the Assignments advanced add-on launch date into March.

Why the extended timeline?

This week we took a close look at the remaining tasks that need to be completed to finalize the launch.
Simply put, we need more time to build out the grading features in Advanced Quizzes, finish out the new question types, and undergo our beta testing process.
It’s important to us at LifterLMS that we deliver the complete version 1.0 of the product and with our quality assurance testing process having happened.
Being feature complete and properly tested is something we’re not willing to sacrifice.

A benefit for your patience

Thanks in advance for your understanding.
We apologize for any inconvenience this timeline extension may cause for you.
We’d also like to do the following for those of you affected by this release delay:
If you have the Infinity Bundle (which includes Advanced Quizzes) or have preordered Advanced Quizzes add-on by itself, we are extending your license renewal date out 35 days to accommodate for this timeline extension.
All licenses affected will be updated inside your account within 1 week from today. No action is required on your part.

But wait, there’s more …

You likely know how much we listen to our LifterLMS community.
Some members of our community recently voiced a desire for some features to be added to the quiz release that we had not thought of ourselves or uncovered in our roadmap development process.
The features would add the ability to use the quiz system to collect and curate “assessment” data from the student, but not for testing or grading purposes.
We are adding these “assessment” capabilities into the initial release of Advanced Quizzes as well.
A big thank you goes out for this insight!

A note about community

Community is the backbone of the LifterLMS project. Your experience with the LifterLMS company and how effectively you and your students interact with the software is our top priority.
Thank you for your understanding on this Advanced Quizzes release timeline extension. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause on your end.
